Here's what Jacqueline, a Global Learning ambassador, has to say about her experience:
I am a senior Government major in the college for Arts & Sciences. I studied abroad in London during the Spring 2017 semester through the Hansard Society Scholars Programme. Through Hansard, I took classes at the London School of Economics, wrote a dissertation, and interned in the House of Lords. In the House of Lords I worked for two baronesses, Baroness Gale and Baroness Howells of St. Davids and conducted research for the baronesses for parliamentary debates, questions, and events. Additionally, I conducted research for the Charter for Women 2017 about female representation in Parliament and the devolved assemblies in the U.K. and attended the Welsh Labour Party Convention where Baroness Gale presented the research. Being in London was a great launching point to tour and experience the cultures of Europe.
